What is encapsulated lactic acid?Updated 2 months ago

The lactic acid in our products is derived from Non-GMO cane sugar and it’s created through a fermentation process in which the cane sugar is converted to an acid. While the lactic acid originates from cane sugar, the final product contains no sugar, and thus it will not lead to a spike in blood sugar levels.The lactic acid, combined with sea salt and celery juice powder is what gives our sticks the 13-month shelf life. Despite the word “lactic” being in the name of this ingredient, there is no lactose or dairy in this ingredient or any of our products.
